What’s great about the school?
Our daughter has severe and multiple food allergies, asthma and eczema. Our district started working with us on a game plan one full year prior to her attending the school to make sure all the staff was trained, who was going to be her primary and secondary advocates and trained all their staff on handling children with food allergies. This year is the first year our daughter eats at the school. The district set up a special eating area for her, has assigned an adult every day to clean her eating space and observe her while she eats to make sure she does not have a reaction at the lunch room. They have put procedures in place for the classroom, art and recess to keep our child safe. I would highly recommend this school district. Recently our daughter started having a reaction as a result of something that started in art class. The lunchroom monitor noticed the reaction, took her to the nurses office and all our procedures were followed and we avoided an emergency room visit. Great job CPU!
